Loan Repayment Information:

Woodland Centers offers many programs designed to help retained qualified staff through supporting loan repayment and placement programs for foreign medical graduates.   

Some of the programs which Woodland Centers is able to offer based on State and Federal funding are: 

1. National Health Service Corps Student Loan Repayment – This program requires an initial 2 year commitment and pays $25,000 in loans per year.  More information can be found at http://nhsc.bhpr.hrsa.gov/, Agency Specific information can be found at http://nhsc.bhpr.hrsa.gov/jobs/

2. J-1 Visa Waiver Program – This program allows foreign medical graduates to remain in the United States.  Further information can be found at http://www.odh.ohio.gov/odhPrograms/chss/visa/visa1.aspx

3. Ohio Physician Loan Repayment Program – Loan repayment program offered by the Ohio Department of Health (if funds available) to qualified Physicians

4. Minority/Appalachian Loan Repayment Initiative – Loan repayment program offered by the Ohio Department of Health (if funds available) to qualified clinicians who are from Appalachia or a Minority.
